Way Taekwondo Brings Home Gold from London

London | 14th February 2026

Today, the students of Way Taekwondo showcased their skill, precision, and discipline at the Ali’s Dojang Poomsae Open Championships 2026 held in London. In a day filled with high-level competition and technical innovation, our athletes rose to the occasion, bringing home a fantastic haul of medals.

The Results

Our hard work helped us win Gold and Silver.:

  • 🥇 1 Gold Medal – Thomas Reed
  • 🥈 1 Silver Medal – Crimson Khatiwada

Beyond the medals, every student who stepped onto the mats demonstrated the unwavering tenacity and core values that define our school.

Innovation in Taekwondo Competition

This event marked a significant milestone in how Taekwondo competitions are managed. For the first time, spectators and participants experienced a high-tech environment designed to make the day seamless for organisers, players, coaches, and parents alike.

The tournament featured an integrated digital running order, allowing anyone to scan a QR code and view live updates directly on their mobile phone. This revolutionary system removed the stress of having to run around checking paper-based displays, which often become inaccurate once the event begins. By having the programme in their pockets, athletes could focus entirely on their performance and preparation.

This technology was introduced as a trial version by Master Colin Larkin, Lead Instructor of Fighting Spirit Taekwondo (Ashford, Kent). We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Master Larkin for his creative vision and hard work in modernising the competition experience for our community.

A successful competition is a team effort. We would like to say a massive Thank You to our incredibly supportive parents. Your help behind the scenes and your cheers from the stands make these achievements possible.

Most importantly, well done to all our players. Whether you took home a medal or gained valuable experience, you represented Way Taekwondo with honour.
