Way Taekwondo Hosts Successful Dan Grading Event 2025

Today, Way Taekwondo proudly hosted its annual Dan Grading event in Ashford, Kent, UK, marking yet another major milestone for the southern UK Taekwondo community.

A record number of 36 Poom/Dan candidates from across the region participated in the rigorous examination, which followed the latest syllabus from the UK Kukkiwon Office. The candidates demonstrated impressive skill, perseverance, and dedication throughout the day.

The esteemed examination panel, comprised of highly respected Masters, ensured the highest standards were met:

    • Master Manishankar Sunwar (7th Dan), Ocean Taekwondo Academy

    • Master Jayanta Thapa (7th Dan), Himalayan Tiger Taekwondo Academy

    • Master Dhiraj Gurung (6th Dan), Wisdom Taekwondo

    • Master Ista Gurung (6th Dan), Way Taekwondo

The highest rank awarded during this successful grading was the prestigious 5th Dan, a major achievement that speaks to the high level of talent present.

  • A huge congratulations to Master Madhu Ghimire and Master Pravin Sunwar on their promotion to 5th Dan! This achievement is a testament to their long-standing dedication and mastery of Taekwondo.
Shikhar Lopchan [4th Dan]
  • We also celebrate the success of Shikhar Lopchan, who was promoted to the rank of 4th Dan. Well done!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the parents, guardians, and instructors whose unwavering support is essential to the candidates’ training journey.
